So I realized that I hadn't updated the blog in awhile. So I'd better do it now. We had a great Thanksgiving. The dinner turned out awesome! For first timers we were quite impressed with how easy it was and how good it turned out. It was beyond our expectations. And a
BIG thanks to Lisa, mom and mom for all the help and tips. :o)
We had Danny's dad down for a few days. Sadly, we seemed to forget our camera every time we went somewhere. I'm usually so good with remembering the camera, too. But we had a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed spending time with Grandpa. Shailey and Eli wanted to help make breakfast one of the mornings that Grandpa was here. This is them mixing the batter for french toast.
The boys absolutely LOVE popcorn. I think the most fun thing for them (besides eating it) is watching it pop in the microwave. Eli gets so excited and says, "It's getting bigger!!"
We've also been putting up our Christmas decorations. I love putting them up. Danny's dad was nice enough to bring my piano back down from Oregon (which I'm very excited about!) and so the last Christmas thing for me to put up is my little Christmas village...which will go on my piano. :o) Here are a few of our decorations.
This is the first time we've actually had a mantel to hang stockings from!
Can you see that the bottom 2-3 feet of the tree looks a bit sparse? May I remind you that Isaac is around 2 feet tall? There's a good reason why all my fragile ornaments are crowding the top 2/3rds of the tree. :o)
And lastly, a video (hopefully...if blogger is kind) of the boys being boys. Just a little warning. The following video does have persistent screaming in it. So if you have a child at home sleeping or a pounding headache, please adjust the volume on your computer before viewing. Enjoy!
