the california science center
We took the kids to the California Science Center on Memorial Day. The best part (for the parents) was that it was FREE and the best part (for the kids) was all the hands-on stuff to do!
Our favorite part was seeing the baby chicks hatching and running around. They were really cute! We also saw a baby exhibit that shows the development of a baby in the womb at different weeks. We found the baby for weeks 12-14 (the size our baby is right now) and the kids were surprised at how big he/she already is. It was really interesting! We're planning on going back sometime since we didn't even see half of what was there.

mother's day poem
For Mother's Day Danny and the kids came up with this cute little poem. The kids learned it and recited it for me before breakfast. This was probably the 10th time I had them recite it for me but they didn't seem to mind. I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful family who loves me! :o)

guess what?
I only wish we would have thought to record the kids' reaction on camera when we told them last night. Their jaws all dropped and they started screaming and dancing around the room. It was so cute!
Shailey hopes for a girl because in her words, "If we have another boy then I will be 'boy trapped'." Oh dear... here's hoping for a girl!

the gingerbread man

A couple of weeks ago Shailey's class (and a couple of other classes) put on the play "The Gingerbread Man". Shailey played the part of the fox who eats the gingerbread man at the end. The fox role was actually a lot more sinister than she had let on at home. :o) Anyway, she had to sing a couple of solos and had some speaking parts that she memorized. It was very cute. We recorded it on our other camera but I haven't figured out how to make the file smaller. But trust me. It was adorable and so funny hearing those kids sing (or shout!) the songs.

pics of the kids
I realized I hadn't updated in awhile. Here are a few pictures of our last trip to Disneyland (we're so excited to go with you Grandma and Grandpa!) and a picture of Shailey playing with train tracks the "Shailey way"! :o)
Our whole family just before some of us went on Mulholland Madness.
Isaac is trying to catch a bubble right after the Pixar Play Parade got over. I think he looks funny in this picture. :o)
