On the move!

Olivia is offically on the move!  She started crawling at 10 months and she hasn't stopped yet.  Before she started crawling she did this funny "swimming" thing.  It was so funny that I just had to capture it on video.  The video shows her doing "the swim" at the very beginning.  And somewhere I have a video of  her crawling.  When I find it I'll post it, too.  Now I'll have to get her latest trick on camera: pulling herself up to stand along the furniture.  Now that's she's crawling I have to really keep my eye on her.  And you can tell that she's very pleased with her newfound skills! ♥ 

10 months

Olivia is 10 months old and such a cutie pie.  I decided to do a little photo shoot with her.  I'm trying to get better with my new camera and I figured I have a pretty cute subject around to practice on. ♥  By the way, if anyone wants to I would LOVE to practice on you or your kids!  Just sayin'.

Here's a little bit about Olivia:

-She weighs a little over 20 pounds.

-She has two bottom teeth.

-She's CRAWLING now!

-She just pulled herself up to stand the other day but I haven't seen her do it since.

-She loves to babble.  She's way more entertaining than anything on TV.

-She is a GREAT sleeper at night and an okay sleeper during the day.

-She loves to eat real food...not baby stuff.

-When she gets mad she rolls her R's.  We call her our little Chewbacca baby when she does it.

-She loves to watch Baby Einstein...I know...but sometimes it's the only way to get the dishes done.

-When she's happy or excited she kicks her legs or wiggles her feet.

-She loves to clap her hands.

-She is the sweetest, happiest baby I know!

6 months old

Olivia is 6 months old now and the time has just flown by!

Let me just say that she is probably the happiest baby I have ever known. It's like she is packed full of smiles and she just can't contain them! Maybe she stores them all in her little thunder thighs. :o) These are her latest stats:

♥Height: 26 3/4 inches

♥Weight: 19 lbs. 6 oz.

Livvy is in the 96th percentile for weight and 90th for her height. She's a growin' girl!

It seems that lately she has discovered her voice. She used to be so quiet. But now if she wants your attention, she SCREAMS! And I don't mean the crying kind like "I'm hurt" or "I'm hungry". This girl screams like a Pat Benatar impersonator--because she can. And when she does we always run over to see if she's okay. And you know what she does? She'll just STOP mid scream and then burst into smiles. She totally does it to get attention. It's pretty funny! :o)

She can also sit up pretty well, although I still keep the boppy around her since she still topples over sometimes. She can only roll over (sometimes) from her tummy to her back. But I have to say that I'm not overly excited for her to get mobile anyway so this doesn't bother me in the slightest. And she seems perfectly happy with her inability to get around. She gets plenty of attention around here. Isaac is constantly yelling, "My Liv! My Liv!" in her face. She loves it.

She is such a sweetheart and we all love her so much! She has been such a blessing to our family! We love you Olivia!!

first cereal

We gave Olivia baby cereal for the first time. It's no surprise that she loved it! This little girl loves to eat! And she almost always falls asleep after eating it. Of course, even the cereal doesn't keep her asleep for too long. Livvy doesn't want to miss a thing!

(I had to hold the camera with my right hand to take pictures while I fed her with my left. Feeding a baby left-handed and taking pictures at the same time is no easy task!)

olivia's first laugh!

She finally did it! And it was completely by accident that I got her to do it. I was goofing around with Isaac while changing Olivia's diaper. I made a little duck sound that was intended to make Isaac laugh, but instead, I heard the cutest little giggle coming from the diaper changing table. Apparently, mommy as a duck is pretty hilarious! Isaac was there "helping" as usual. :o)

four months old

My how time flies! Olivia is already four months old. I can't even begin to tell you how much we love her. She has been such a joy!

Fun things about Olivia:

♥ ♥ ♥

-She has such a cute little personality. She is on the quiet side but she is so happy! She'll smile at anyone and anything.

-She LOVES Danny (which he doesn't mind too much, either!). She loves to sit on his lap. And she really loves to talk to him. She doesn't talk to me much, but it's so sweet that she'll go on and on with Danny.

- She loves her swing (unless she's hungry!)

-She loves to lay on her playmat and pull and grab her toys.

-She's very good in the slobber department. We go through several bibs a day (which is better than changing her outfits all the time!)

- She is so close to having a full on laugh. We've gotten a few little giggles out of her but we're still waiting for that first laugh.

- She takes a bottle like a champ, whether it's breast milk or formula, she doesn't mind. She loves to eat! Whenever she wants to eat, she opens up her mouth so wide it makes me laugh. And she gets really excited when she's about to eat because she knows what's coming.

- I wouldn't call her a thumb sucker but how about a fist sucker? She loves her fist!

- She doesn't sleep much during the day but has been sleeping through the night for a couple months now.

She has already more than doubled her birth weight. She's in the 75th percentile for weight and 95th percentile for height.

Before she was born I couldn't picture how she would fit into our family. Now I can't imagine our family without her. We all love her. She is such a wonderful blessing!

two months old

Olivia is two months old already. I can't believe how fast the time is going by. She's grown so much. She's also been giving us genuine smiles for a couple of weeks now and it's such a treat! We all love having Livvy in our family!
