When daddy's away, the kids will play!

Just a few pictures I took of the kids while Danny was at the Priesthood session of General Conference. If you think some of these are silly just know that I chose the tamer ones. :o)

♥ I love these kids! ♥

10 months

Olivia is 10 months old and such a cutie pie.  I decided to do a little photo shoot with her.  I'm trying to get better with my new camera and I figured I have a pretty cute subject around to practice on. ♥  By the way, if anyone wants to I would LOVE to practice on you or your kids!  Just sayin'.

Here's a little bit about Olivia:

-She weighs a little over 20 pounds.

-She has two bottom teeth.

-She's CRAWLING now!

-She just pulled herself up to stand the other day but I haven't seen her do it since.

-She loves to babble.  She's way more entertaining than anything on TV.

-She is a GREAT sleeper at night and an okay sleeper during the day.

-She loves to eat real food...not baby stuff.

-When she gets mad she rolls her R's.  We call her our little Chewbacca baby when she does it.

-She loves to watch Baby Einstein...I know...but sometimes it's the only way to get the dishes done.

-When she's happy or excited she kicks her legs or wiggles her feet.

-She loves to clap her hands.

-She is the sweetest, happiest baby I know!

Eli's Birthday

Eli had a birthday this past week and he turned 6! 

 He got a big Lego set  and tickets to a Dodgers game for his birthday.  I made him a big Lego cake, too.  He also got to pick his favorite place to eat:  McDonald's (which was closed...at 6pm.  On a weeknight.  To upgrade their system.  Really McDonald's?  Was that really the best time to close?  Whatever.)  So since McDonald's was a bust we picked up a pizza on our way home and let him eat pizza while he built his Lego set.  He was so excited!  Here are a few highlights:

"Ice cream and cake! Do the ice cream and cake!  Ice cream and cake! Do the ice cream and cake!"

Where did summer go?

Am I the only one who felt like summer went by in a flash?  It feels like the kids just got out of school and now theyre back in.  If I were a kid I would be feeling sooooo ripped off right now.

So here's our summer in a nutshell...

Our Hawaii Trip
Okay.  Technically this happened before summer but I never got around to posting anything about it.  So here are a few highlights.

We had a blast and would love to go back someday!

Isaac's Birthday

Isaac turned four this summer AND he is finally potty trained.  I can't even tell you how happy I am about that!  We are so happy for him! :o)

Nana and Grandpa's Visit

Danny's parents came down to visit us one more time before leaving for their mission to Tahiti.  We were so happy to spend a few days with them!

Kara's Visit

What kind of lame sister am I that I didn't take a single picture of Kara's visit???  Sorry Kara!  We had a lot of fun with her here though.  We went to the beach, went to a movie, ate out a couple times, made homemade cookies and ice cream, and played a lot of Wii.  The kids were sad to see her go home. (This picture was taken at another time.)

So that was pretty much our whole summer vacation!  Now we're back in school and ready for another year with Shailey in 2nd grade and Eli in 1st grade.  It should be fun!
